The Home can accommodate up to 60 senior residents. Currently 51 elders reside, 30% of which are bedridden. The Zorzis Mihalinos Care Home implements its statutory mission by accepting a higher than usual percentage (10%) of elders who are unable to contribute in any financial way.

The grant regards the provision of equipment and the funding of operating expenses. The provision of fire detection and extinguishing equipment will allow the care home to receive a permit from the fire department and thus upgrade the safety it offers to its residents. Such protection is especially significant given that the home is surrounded by a large garden. The operating expenses include mainly food supplies, heating and consumables for the daily care of bedridden elders.
