The grant regards the program entitled: “The Virtual Museum of Tinos….in a suitcase!”, which is implemented in cooperation with the Cyclades Pensioners’ Association – Tinos Branch. Through this program, the museum is able to “get out” of its building in the Chora of Tinos Island and travel to the villages. The aim is to increase the number of seniors on Tinos island who are able to access the museum and who would otherwise be unable to visit it. The program will include a series of guided sessions with seniors and other vulnerable social groups whereby through specially designed workshops, the museum’s digital material will be presented to the seniors using a suitcase containing VR goggles and a tablet with a specially designed digital kit containing audiovisual material.
