Emfasis is active through street work programs, mobile support units for vulnerable groups, and a social support center. The organization assists more than 3,000 people annually and directly supports an estimated 300 individuals on a permanent basis. Its core team is comprised of psychologists, social workers, mental health consultants, streetworkers, as well as legal, communications and management professionals.

The grant regards a program of support individuals in the flood-hit areas of Karditsa, Thessaly. Following the devastating floods in September 2023, many individuals are effectively homeless. The support will consist of a mobile unit offering psychosocial, legal, and material support to the flood victims. The organization will also create a direct telephone line specifically to provide support and guidance to elderly in the region.

Through this grant, Emfasis will offer training related to crisis management to local volunteers and social workers working with the elderly in the region, providing a more sustainable model for the locals in these remote villages. The program will support an estimated 100 elderly and provide training to an estimated 10 local leaders.
