The organization develops and implements a variety of humanitarian and medical programs. PRAKSIS has a presence in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras and Lesvos, providing medical care, psychological support, legal advice, employment counselling and social support through a wide range of activities and programs.

“Safe at Home” Manual

The grant regards the creation of the “Safe at Home” Manual. Through the implementation of the “Safe at Home” Program in 2015, which aimed at prolonging the safe and secure independent living of elders in their home, Praksis identified a lack of information available to persons who surround the elderly, such as their caregivers. The Manual therefore contains detailed information including advice on safety, prevention of falls, exercises for physical strength, nutrition, and more. Information is also provided on the various social welfare system services available. The manual strives to improve the daily life of elders, to empower their caregivers while also raising awareness to the broader public on ways to support the elderly. A full copy of the guide is available for download here.

This grant is implemented through the Points of Support program I.
