Renovation Works and Audio Books Production
The grant regards renovation works and the production of audio books. The renovation works involve the sound insulation of the three audio books recording studios. The production will result in the creation of 88 new audio books. The frequent users of audio books are 500 people with sight problems, 60% of which are elders. Given that the Lighthouse for the Blind’s collection of audio books is highly used by elders, the production of new books will offer a recreational improvement to this age group. Additionally, the sound insulation of the recording studios will improve the quality of the audio book production as well as the working conditions of the Lighthouse for the Blind’s personnel.
