The individuals who are selected for the program are able to use food stamps to purchase food as well as personal hygiene and household products. Moreover, the program will give beneficiaries the opportunity to follow classes and activities at the School of the Union. Some of the classes that will be offered are computer instruction, creative writing, and mental strengthening exercises for memory improvement. The program will have a 12-month duration and will benefit 50 families with one or two elderly family members.
