ADI works locally by empowering national Alzheimer associations to promote and offer care and support for people with dementia and their caregivers as well as to raise awareness globally on the disease. ADI’s vision is an improved quality of life for people with dementia and their families throughout the world. Its main objectives are to raise awareness, to support and strengthen its member associations and to make dementia a global health priority. ADI’s member in Greece is the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders which presides over the Panhellenic Federation of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders.
Manual for Caregivers of Dementia Patients
The grant regards the 50% co-funding, with the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, for the provision of 10,000 copies of a “Help for Caregivers” Manual to caregivers of dementia patients residing throughout Greece. The manual has been developed by ADI in collaboration with the WHO. The Greek launch was realized in cooperation with the Panhellenic Federation of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders.
