ANTIGONE develops activities to raise awareness on racism, discrimination, human rights, social ecology, peace and nonviolent conflict resolution. The aim of the organization is the promotion of equal opportunities and the improvement of the quality of life of vulnerable groups such as refugees, people with disabilities, and the elderly, among others. ANTIGONE participates in various European and other research programs, organizes seminars and educational workshops, and also possesses an electronic library with relevant publications.
Counseling Workshops
The grant regards the realization of psychological resilience workshops that will be directed to unemployed persons who are on the brink of the Third Age. Participants are ones that will have recently lost their jobs or are unable to find jobs. The workshops will deal with the emotional and psychological issues related to unemployment and ultimately aim to prevent psychological health problems and social exclusion. Two teams of 15-25 persons will participate in the workshops that will have a 6-month duration.
This grant is implemented through the Points of Support program II.
