PRAKSIS has a presence in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras and Lesvos. It offers a variety of programs, amongst these are the Athens and Thessaloniki polyclinics providing: medical treatment, medication, psychological support, legal advice, employment counseling and social support.

“Safe at Home” Program

 

The grant regards the continuation of the “Safe at Home” Program, which aims at prolonging the safe and secure independent living of elders in their home. It offers certain modifications in the elders’ home thus limiting accidents and minimizing the risk of break-ins. In the interest of geographical diffusion, elderly residents in need of the Municipalities of Athens, Korydallos, Nikaia, Menidi, Agios Dimitrios, Moschato, Megara and Perama have been selected for the second phase of the program. An estimated 50 elderly recipients will benefit from the six-month phase of this grant.
