The Intensive Care Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens’ Medical School has been located at Evaggelismos Hospital since the 80’s and consists of the Intensive Care, Increased Treatment, and Respiratory Deficiency Units, as well as the Sleep Research, Cardio Pulmonary Testing and Spirometry Laboratories. The Intensive Care Clinic serves three main purposes: treatment, education and research. Intensive care is provided in specially designed spaces. These spaces are equipped with modern technological machinery supporting the vital functions of patients whose lives are threatened due to serious illness or injury.
