Startagers is a social enterprise that was founded in 2019 with the goal of planning and implementing innovative educational programs for middle-aged persons and seniors. Additionally, the organization implements volunteerism programs throughout Greece.
“Let’s Get Loud” Program
The grant regards the creation of the “Let’s Get Loud” Program, in partnership with Medasset. This program will aim to raise awareness for seniors regarding the sustainable development goals, as set out by the UN, and in particular “Goal 13: Take Urgent Action to Combat Climate Change and its Impacts.” Through an interactive learning environment, 30 Senior Green Leaders will be trained who will communicate information in their cities on sustainable development best practices in the urban environment. Through a podcast series, Senior Green Leaders will communicate their views on environmental matters that local communities face. The program aims to provide environmental education and training in 10 different cities in Greece.
